: THE TECHNICAL FESTIVAL

A three day fest
was organized on 26,27,28 October 2007 at BBDIT
Premises in which more than 50 colleges from all
over India participated .
The inaguration of technical festival was done
by Mr. Harendera Agarwal , Chairman BBIET & RC,
Bulandsahar , In his speech he stated that
Technical festivals like these allows students
to show thier newly accuired technical skills
which encourages them to understand the realtime
applications in the industry.
The students from different colleges
also excelled in various performances in
competitive environments where they participated
both in technical and cultural events like
Mehndi, Salad Making, Gaming, Dance , Singing
and playing different musical instruments.
On
the final day the festival sucessfully concluded
when the students rocked to the beats of DJ
Nasha and also enjoyed a scintillating fashion
parade by the students of BBDIT.

ELECTRONICS - AN INDISPENSABLE TOOL FOR SMART
PRODUCT INNOVATIONS

seminar was organized on April 21,2007, The objective the seminar was to bring research
as well as academicians on a common platform to
share their experiences in their respective
professions and work sphere where they have
developed technologies for their applications.
The seminar was open for faculty of academic
institutions from all engineering branches,
researchers and industry, paper presentations
are invited from all categories. |
NATIONAL SEMINAR
: CONVERGENCE OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR RAPID
DEVELOPMENT
The objective of any
national seminar is to bring researchers as well
as academicians on a common platform to share
their experiences in their respective diverse
fields. With this in view, a National Seminar on
Electronics-An Indispensable Tool For Smart
Product Innovations, was organized on April 21,
2007 at B.B.D.I.T. Ghaziabad campus. Present era
is an era of fast development. Smart products
are the call of the day. Electronics is very
handy and versatile tool to cater the
technological needs of smart products. The
seminar was inagurated with the Welcome Address
by Ms. Ruchira Das, the Executive Director of
the Institute.
Prof. D. S. Chauhan, a renowned academician,
Vice Chancellor, Lovely Professional University
and also Ex.-Vice Chancellor of U.P. Technical
University, was the chief guest. In his
inaugural address, he gave profound background
of modern era and use of latest research and
developments in the field of Electronics. Former
Dean, Research and Development, IIT Kanpur and
Former Director, CEERI, Pilani, Prof. R. N.
Biswas, presently looking after
industry-institute interface and Knowledge
Enhancement in a leading multinational company
delivered the deep insights into technological
developments in System -On -Chip technology in
his keynote address. Further a galaxy of eminent
speakers- Dr. P. C. Jain (ST Microelectronics,
Noida), Prof. S Qureshi (IIT Kanpur), Mr. Rajesh
Kher (Catvision Products Ltd.) and scores of
academicians from institutes and technocrats
from industry deliberated on multi-facetted
aspects of smart products vis-à-vis electronics.
Award for the two best papers was another
highlight of the seminar and the respected
Chairman, Mr. Harendra Agrawal Ji, honoured the
guests and participants. The Director, Dr. R. A.
Agarwala, gave the vote of thanks to the
dignitaries and participants.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON GLOBAL WARMING
AND ITS COMBATING, 19th February 2008
An
International Seminar on the theme
“Global Warming and Its Combating” was
organized in association with The
Institute Of Engineers (India) Ghaziabad
Local Center and Alumni Association,
I.I.T .Kanpur Outer Delhi Chapter, at
the Institute Campus .
The Objective of the Seminar was to
provide researchers as well as
academicians from world over on a
common platform to share their
experiences in their respective diverse
fields to emphasize the concern from
Global Warming , adopting new
techniques in transformation of energy ,
their consumption and management
aspects and deliberate on other on -
going efforts undertaken and planned for
future as well , to save us from
ensuing disaster. The Seminar was
started with the welcome address by Mr. Arpit
Agarwal, the Executive Director of the
Institute.
Mr. Kapil Sibal, Honorable Minister for
Science and Technology and Earth
Sciences, was the Chief Guest. on the
occasion . In his inaugural address, he
dwelt upon the global harmful impact of
the increased emission levels of the
Green House Gasses ,particularly Co2
gas, in the post industrialization era
on our environment raising its
temperature .He further told that there
is a need to adopt a proactive and
pragmatic approach to the problem of
environmental degradation .Instead of
emulating the western model of wasteful
consumption and environmentally- harmful
industrialization ,we are working for
alternative approach more mindful of our
resource endowments .He emphasized on
educating our masses to make them
eco-conscious and work out innovative
solutions , which are affordable, too,
so that we are able to engage our masses
in our drive to combat this impending
spectre of Global Warming .

address, apprising of the grim realities
arising out of climate change and
technological solutions worked out in
USA as a measure for mitigation of
climate change .
Among the other eminent speakers ,who
graced the occasion and shared their
rich and vast experiences and insightful
views on the subject ,included

Systems. All of them emphasized upon the
urgent need for taking initiatives and
measures to combat the impending danger
of Climate Change and warned that if it
is let go unhindered, it will wreak
havoc with devastating consequences and
catastrophic changes.
The Seminar was divided into three
Technical sessions and these were
chaired by Padam Shri K. C. johary,
Dr.B.L.Dhooper, Retd.Dean &Prof.
I.I.T.Kanpur, Prof.B.C. Raymahasay .,
Dr.R.A. Agrawala ,Director of the
Institute moved the vote of thanks on
the occasion
