KNOWING GHAZIABAD : [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghaziabad] : An industrial city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located about 1.5 km East of the Hindon river at Latitude 28° 40' North and Longitude 77° 25' East. It is 19 km East of Delhi and 46 km South-West of Meerut. The city houses the headquarters of the Ghaziabad district. The city gets its name from the founder Ghazi-ud-din, who called it Ghaziuddinnagar after himself. Later the name was shortened to Ghaziabad. It is also the home to Advanced Level Telecommunication Training Centre (ALTTC). It is a large industrial city well-connected by roads and railways. It has industries that manufacture railway coaches, diesel engines, bicycles, tapestries, glassware, pottery, paint and varnish, heavy chains etc. Recently a number of malls and multiplexes have come up in the city and the roads are being improved by construction and widening of flyovers. These developments have also led to it being featured in Newsweek International as one of the 10 most dynamic cities of the world for 2006.

The Institute, BBDIT is ideally located in the National Capital Region [NCR] on Delhi-Meerut Road [NH-58] , at Duhai near old ITI, just 20 Km away from ISBT, New Delhi (Anand Vihar) and well connected by Rail/Road from all parts of the country.

AIRPORT : The nearest domestic airport is Palam Airport, Delhi which is 49 kms and Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi which is about 53 kms from here.

RAILWAYS : There are 3 Railway Stations in the Ghaziabad city , One at Guldhar which is hardly 3-4 kms from BBDIT, Second station is New Ghaziabad Railway Station which is near Raj Nagar District Center and the Third one is Old Ghaziabad railway station which also very well connected to Delhi and other neighboring cities by fast moving local trains called EMU.

BUS TERMINALS : By road, Ghaziabad is well-connected on all sides to Delhi, Noida, Hapur, Meerut, Saharanpur, Haridwar, etc. There are inter-city bus terminuses at Sanjay Nagar , Old Bus Terminal, near Santosh Hospital and new bus terminal at Meerut Road crossing GT Road.

INTER STATE BUS TERMINAL are at Mohan Nagar, Vasundhara, Anand Vihar (Delhi) from where Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses ply all over the state of Uttar Pradesh.

METRO STATION : The nearest Metro Station is situated in Shadhara , Delhi , which is 14Kms approx from Ghaziabad City
